Open the Capture app, tap the "+" button on the home screen, and follow the guided setup. You'll choose a name, date, and cover image for your event. Once created, a unique QR code is generated automatically for your guests.

Guests can join by scanning the QR code you share with them. They don't need to create an account — just scan, enter a display name, and start sharing photos instantly.

No. Guests can take or upload photos, browse the gallery, react, and comment in a compatible mobile browser when the host’s settings allow it. Photo filters and Photo Booth are also available in the browser. The Capture iPhone app is optional for guests; the host uses it to create and manage the event.

Absolutely! You can create and manage as many events as you like. Switch between them from your home screen.

Once you've joined an event, tap the camera button at the bottom of the gallery. You can take a new photo or select existing ones from your camera roll.

In the browser, open a photo and use Download when the host allows it; you receive the original file the guest uploaded. The host opens Export Album in the iPhone app to get everything at once: Create ZIP packs every original photo and video into an archive that is emailed as a link and opens on any computer, and Save to Photos puts the whole collection into an album in the Photos app.

Host subscriptions include unlimited guest photo uploads. You can try all host features free for 7 days before choosing monthly or yearly billing.

Yes. Open Camera in the event browser to take a photo with filters, or choose Photo Booth for a three-second countdown and frames. Review or retake the photo, then adjust its look in the editor before posting. Selected library photos can be edited too. Camera access needs a compatible browser and permission; videos use the file picker.

The host has scheduled a reveal in the iPhone app. Browser guests can keep uploading while uploads are enabled, but the album stays locked until that time. It opens automatically and catches up when you return to the page. Photos awaiting host approval still need review after the reveal.

Photos and videos are stored exactly as they were uploaded, with no resizing or re-compression. Capture also keeps a 2048-pixel copy so galleries load quickly; downloads and exports always use the original file. Photos uploaded before September 2026 only exist as 2048-pixel copies.

Open your event and tap the QR icon in the top-right corner. You can display it on screen, share it as an image, or print it for table cards and signage.

Yes. Hosts can regenerate the event QR code in the Capture iPhone app. Share the new code only with the intended guests and review guest access when doing so. Changing a code cannot recall photos or screenshots someone already saved.

Check contrast, lighting, screen brightness, and the clear margin around the code. Try a larger matte print and test it at the distance guests will use. Scan with the phone camera or its QR scanner; if scanning fails, open the direct gallery link.

Go to your Profile tab and tap on your name or avatar to edit. Changes will be reflected across all your events.

Navigate to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Please note that this action is permanent and will remove all your data, including events you've hosted.

You can control notification preferences from Profile → Settings → Notifications. Choose which alerts you'd like to receive for new photos, comments, and event updates.

Events are unlisted and reached through their QR code or direct link. Anyone who receives forwarded access information may be able to join. Gallery viewing also depends on membership, approval, and reveal settings. Share access in trusted guest channels and review members in the host app.

Yes. As the event host, you have full moderation control. Tap and hold on any photo to delete it, or go to Guest Management to remove a participant.

Capture uses encrypted HTTPS connections and access controls to transfer and serve photos. Service providers process data needed to run the app. Guest identifiers, display names, uploads, and optional interactions are covered by our Privacy Policy, which also explains website analytics, retention, and your rights.

In the browser, open the upload list from Camera or the event header. Check your connection and use Retry on a failed entry. After confirmation that files are saved locally, pending uploads survive a reload in the same browser and guest identity. Reopen the same event with a connection to resume while uploads are enabled. Keep originals: clearing browser data or browser storage cleanup can remove pending files.

Uploads need the event open with a connection to continue. Saved pending files can resume when you return to the same event in the same browser and guest identity. The local queue holds up to 100 pending files or 500 MB across this browser; it is not a permanent backup.

Try resetting your password via the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen. If you signed up with a social account, make sure you're using the same provider. Contact support if you still need help.

Make sure you are running the latest version of Capture from the Apple App Store. If the problem continues, reinstall the app and reach out to support with your device model and iOS version.
