Trust & Security

Your memories are your business.

Capture is built for events where privacy is non-negotiable. Every gallery is private by default, protected by access controls, and fully under the host's control.

How We Protect Your Photos

Six pillars of trust

Private by Default

Every gallery is private from the moment it's created. Galleries are never indexed by search engines, never discoverable by non-guests, and never visible to anyone outside the event.

QR Code Access Control

Access is gated by a unique QR code per event. Only people who scan the code — at the venue or via direct invitation — can view or contribute photos.

Full Host Moderation

The event host has complete control. Remove individual photos, block contributors, regenerate the QR code to revoke all access, or delete the entire gallery at any time.

Encryption in Transit

All data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS). Photos uploaded from guests' devices are encrypted during transfer to our servers. No data travels unprotected.

Secure Cloud Storage

Photos are stored on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with redundancy, monitoring, and access controls. We use industry-standard providers with SOC 2 compliance.

Data Deletion on Demand

Hosts can permanently delete their gallery and all associated photos at any time. Once deleted, the data is purged from our servers within 30 days.

Our Commitments

What we never do

No AI Training

Your photos are never used to train AI models, advertising algorithms, or any third-party service. Your memories belong to you.

No Third-Party Sharing

We never sell, share, or distribute your photos to third parties. Photos are accessible only to the host and authorized guests.

No Advertising

Capture does not display ads and does not use your content for advertising purposes. Our business model is based on paid plans, not your data.

GDPR-Aware Practices

We respect data protection principles including the right to erasure, data minimization, and purpose limitation. Hosts can delete any content at any time.

Security FAQ

Common questions

Are Capture galleries findable on Google?

No. Capture galleries are never indexed by search engines. They are not discoverable by anyone who does not have the QR code or direct link. Even with the link, galleries require authentication to access.

Can anyone with the QR code access the gallery forever?

No. The host controls how long the gallery stays active. After the gallery expires, all access is revoked. The host can also regenerate the QR code at any time to immediately revoke all previous access.

Where are photos stored?

Photos are stored on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with data centers in the EU and US. All storage uses encrypted connections and access is restricted to essential services only.

Can I request deletion of my photos?

Yes. If you are a guest and want your photos removed, contact the event host directly — they have full moderation control. If you need further assistance, contact our support team and we'll help facilitate the request.

Does Capture use my photos for anything?

No. Your photos are used solely to provide the service — displaying them in the gallery and enabling downloads. We do not use your photos for AI training, advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.

Is Capture GDPR compliant?

Capture follows GDPR-aware data practices: we minimize data collection, provide deletion capabilities, use encryption, and never share data with third parties for marketing. The event host acts as the data controller for their gallery.
