Capture is built for events where privacy is non-negotiable. Every gallery is private by default, protected by access controls, and fully under the host's control.
Six pillars of trust
Every gallery is unlisted from the moment it is created. It is not intended for search-engine indexing or public profile discovery; access still needs to be shared responsibly.
Each event has unique access through its QR code or direct link. Recipients can forward access information, so hosts should also use moderation, revocation, and expiration controls.
The event host has complete control. Remove individual photos, block contributors, regenerate the QR code to revoke all access, or delete the entire gallery at any time.
All data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS). Photos uploaded from guests' devices are encrypted during transfer to our servers. No data travels unprotected.
Photos are stored on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with redundancy, monitoring, and access controls. We use industry-standard providers with SOC 2 compliance.
Hosts can permanently delete their gallery and all associated photos at any time. Once deleted, the data is purged from our servers within 30 days.
What we never do
Your photos are never used to train AI models, advertising algorithms, or any third-party service. Your memories belong to you.
We do not sell your photos. Event content is intended for the host and people given event access, subject to the service providers and disclosures in our Privacy Policy.
Capture does not display ads and does not use your content for advertising purposes. Our business model is based on paid plans, not your data.
We respect data protection principles including the right to erasure, data minimization, and purpose limitation. Hosts can delete any content at any time.
Common questions
Capture galleries are unlisted and not intended for search-engine discovery. Anyone with valid event access may be able to enter, so the QR code or direct link should be shared only with the intended audience.
No. The host controls how long the gallery stays active. After the gallery expires, all access is revoked. The host can also regenerate the QR code at any time to immediately revoke all previous access.
Photos are stored on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with data centers in the EU and US. All storage uses encrypted connections and access is restricted to essential services only.
Yes. If you are a guest and want your photos removed, contact the event host directly — they have full moderation control. If you need further assistance, contact our support team and we'll help facilitate the request.
No. Your photos are used solely to provide the service — displaying them in the gallery and enabling downloads. We do not use your photos for AI training, advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.
Capture follows GDPR-aware data practices: we minimize data collection, provide deletion capabilities, use encryption, and never share data with third parties for marketing. The event host acts as the data controller for their gallery.
