Six pillars of trust
Private by Default
Every gallery is unlisted from the moment it is created. It is not intended for search-engine indexing or public profile discovery; access still needs to be shared responsibly.
QR Code Access Control
Each event has unique access through its QR code or direct link. Recipients can forward access information, so hosts should also use moderation, revocation, and expiration controls.
Full Host Moderation
Hosts can manage photos and guests, regenerate the event QR code in the iPhone app, and delete an event. Review guest access after a code change. Previously saved copies and screenshots cannot be recalled.
Encryption in Transit
Capture uses encrypted HTTPS connections to transfer and serve event content. This protects the connection; the service and its providers process data needed to operate the gallery.
Secure Cloud Storage
Capture uses cloud service providers and access controls to operate the gallery. See the Privacy Policy for provider details and data handling; provider certifications do not by themselves certify an event’s compliance.
Data Deletion on Demand
Hosts can delete an event and manage gallery content in the iPhone app. Save permitted files first. The Privacy Policy explains retention and requests; gallery deletion cannot remove copies already saved elsewhere.

What we never do
No AI Training
Your photos are never used to train AI models, advertising algorithms, or any third-party service. Your memories belong to you.
No Sale of Photos
We do not sell your photos. Event content is intended for the host and people given event access, subject to the service providers and disclosures in our Privacy Policy.
No Advertising
Capture does not display ads and does not use your content for advertising purposes. Our business model is based on paid plans, not your data.
GDPR-Aware Practices
We respect data protection principles including the right to erasure, data minimization, and purpose limitation. Hosts can delete any content at any time.
Security FAQ
Common questions
Are Capture galleries findable on Google?
Capture galleries are unlisted and not intended for search-engine discovery. Anyone with valid event access may be able to enter, so the QR code or direct link should be shared only with the intended audience.
Can anyone with the QR code access the gallery forever?
Gallery access depends on the event and guest settings. Hosts can regenerate the QR code in the iPhone app and review access when doing so. Files or screenshots already saved by recipients remain outside those controls.
Where are photos stored?
Capture uses the service providers described in its Privacy Policy. Review that policy for processing locations and international-transfer information relevant to your event; do not infer exclusive EU storage from a private gallery.
Can I request deletion of my photos?
Yes. If you are a guest and want your photos removed, contact the event host directly — they have full moderation control. If you need further assistance, contact our support team and we'll help facilitate the request.
Does Capture use my photos for anything?
No. Your photos are used solely to provide the service — displaying them in the gallery and enabling downloads. We do not use your photos for AI training, advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.
Is Capture GDPR compliant?
GDPR responsibilities depend on the parties, processing purpose and context. Gallery controls support access and moderation, but an organizer must assess lawful basis, notices, rights, retention and reuse. See the GDPR guide and Privacy Policy.
