Capture is an event photography app that lets hosts and guests collect, share, and preserve memories from special occasions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1) Summary (plain language)

We collect only what’s needed to run the app and improve it.

  • If you upload photos to an event gallery, we use them to provide the features you request (e.g., shared galleries, downloads).
  • If Capture uses third-party services, your inputs may be processed by those providers to deliver features.
  • We do not sell your personal information and do not run interest-based advertising unless explicitly stated.

2) Information you provide

Depending on how you use Capture, you may provide:

A. Content you upload or create

  • Event photos and videos uploaded to shared galleries
  • Event details (name, date, cover image)
  • Comments, reactions, and captions
  • Display name and profile information

B. Account information

  • Email address, name, or login identifiers used when creating a host account
  • Guest participants are not required to create an account — they access event galleries via QR code and provide only a display name

3) Information collected automatically

When you use the app, we (or our service providers) may collect:

  • Device and app information (device model, OS version, app version, language)
  • App interactions (feature usage, screens viewed, taps)
  • Diagnostic data (crash logs, performance metrics)
  • Approximate location (derived from IP address) for basic functionality like language/regional settings (if applicable)

We use this information for app reliability, security, and improvements.

4) How we use your information

We use information to:

  • Provide and maintain the app and its features
  • Deliver event gallery features, photo sharing, and QR code access you request
  • Save your projects and settings (locally and/or in the cloud, depending on your setup)

5) AI features (image/text processing)

Capture may include AI-powered features (e.g., photo enhancement, auto-tagging, smart gallery organization).

How AI features work

  • AI processing in Capture uses Apple's on-device frameworks (Vision, Core ML) for features like photo enhancement and smart gallery organisation.
  • On-device processing means your photos are not sent to external AI services — all analysis happens locally on your device.

Tip

Avoid uploading images that include sensitive personal details (mail with addresses, ID documents, or confidential information).

6) Sharing of information

We may share information only as needed:

  • Service providers: hosting, AI processing, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, subscription management
  • Payment platforms: Apple App Store / Google Play, and subscription tools (if used)
  • Legal & safety: to comply with laws, enforce terms, protect users, and prevent fraud/security threats
  • Business transfers: if we merge, sell assets, or reorganize, information may transfer as part of that transaction

We do not sell personal information.

7) Data storage & retention

We keep information only as long as needed to:

  • Provide the app’s features
  • Meet legal/accounting obligations
  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

Event content and uploads

Photos and event data are stored in the cloud on secure servers. For users in the EU/EEA, data is stored within the European Union. All stored data is encrypted at rest.

Retention depends on your subscription status and event settings. Hosts can delete individual photos or entire events at any time from the app.

Deletion

  • You can delete projects within the app (if supported).
  • You can request deletion of account-associated data by contacting info@nexanum.com.
  • Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data, but does not automatically delete cloud data tied to an account.

8) Your choices and rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)
  • Receive a copy of your data (data portability)

You can also:

  • Control permissions (Photos/Camera, etc.) in your device settings
  • Disable certain tracking/analytics (if offered in-app)

9) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect data. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, especially for content uploaded to third-party services.

10) Children’s privacy

Capture is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11) International transfers (GDPR note)

If you use the app from the EEA/UK or other regions with data protection laws, your information may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as contractual protections) for international transfers.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The “Effective date” will reflect the latest version. If changes are significant, we will provide notice in the app or on our website/app listing.
