Wedding Website FAQ Wording and Copy Templates

Updated July 2026

TL;DR

A wedding website FAQ should answer the questions that otherwise become individual messages: timing, location, transport, attire, children, accessibility, gifts, phones, plus-ones, and photo sharing. Use short, direct answers and update the page whenever logistics change.

Answer logistics before etiquette

Arrival time, venue address, transport, parking, accessibility, and weather affect whether guests can attend comfortably. Put those answers first and repeat urgent changes through the communication channel guests already use.

Write for a visitor who has never seen the venue. Specific instructions such as which entrance or shuttle stop to use are more helpful than a decorative paragraph about the location.

Be kind and clear about boundaries

Plus-one, children, attire, and unplugged-ceremony answers should not leave room for different interpretations. A warm sentence can still be direct and save both guests and the couple from awkward individual conversations.

If phones are restricted only during the ceremony, say exactly when photos become welcome again. This prevents an unplugged request from unintentionally eliminating all guest candids.

Give photos one destination

Add the Capture gallery link before the wedding weekend and explain that venue QR codes will open the same private event. Guests who cannot scan a printed code can use the website link.

After the wedding, update the FAQ or homepage with a final upload reminder and date. Remove or close access later according to the couple's privacy plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many questions should a wedding website FAQ include?

Include every recurring practical question, but organize them into short sections so guests can find answers quickly.

Should we publish the photo gallery before the wedding?

You can share the destination early, especially for a wedding weekend, while making clear when guest photography is welcome.

How do we word an unplugged ceremony?

Ask guests to keep phones away during the ceremony, explain the reason briefly, and state when photos become welcome afterward.

Can guests upload without downloading Capture?

Yes. The QR code and direct link support browser uploads without a required app or account.
